The CCWG has worked on the issue of CCS for many years.

In 2003 the CCWG held a workshop on CCS, which produced a report entitled Contributing to climate change solutions (link to event and report)

In 2007 IPIECA also held also held a roundtable with the power and coal industry on business models for CCS. This aimed to help develop understanding within, and between industry sectors, on the key issues surrounding the development of sound, viable CCS business models which will be needed if the deployment of CCS as a GHG mitigation option is to be widespread.
