IPIECA and UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC) agreed in April 2010 to set in place a framework for collaboration to help both organizations fulfil their vision and mission. Under the terms of the Memorandum, each party will be able to leverage expertise and utilize networks where there is a potential for mutual benefit. This should have a positive impact on areas of work in which the Biodiversity Working Group (BDWG) and UNEP-WCMC are already collaborating. These include the development of an A-Z guide for business on areas of biodiversity importance and a regional workshop in Latin America.
