UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights - introductory exchange with stakeholders Friday, January 20, 2012 - 10:00 - 11:30 Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland
At its seventeenth session, in resolution A/HRC/17/4, the Human Rights Council decided to establish a Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises, consisting of five independent experts, of balanced geographical representation, for a period of three years.
The Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises will hold its first session from 16 to 20 January 2012, and would like to invite all interested (non-State) stakeholders to attend an informal introductory exchange with the members of the Working Group.
